BICOmesh

The fiberglass mesh from BICOmesh range guarantees a durable reinforcement of surfaces with a thick, medium or thin layer of plaster. Our fiberglass mesh is made of “E-glass” yarns and it is primed with an emulsion of Styrene-butadiene specially created for the glass yarn. This compatibility of raw materials offers a high resistance in the alkaline environment of the reinforcement mortar and a lifespan equal to the plasters it reinforces.

The BICO fiberglass mesh is mainly used as reinforcement element in the External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) based on mineral wool, expanded polystyrene or any other type of thermal insulation board.

BICO fiberglass mesh complies with the highest national and European quality standards. Our products have an ETA approval (European Technical Assessment – ETA 18/0372 of 07/10/2018) and the quality control compliance in our production environment is periodically certified according to ETA standards ETA (Certificate of Conformity of the Factory Production Control no. 1020-CPR-060048297).

Exterior plasters are exposed to extreme fluctuations in climatic conditions, and BICOmesh fiberglass mesh, with a minimum elongation, even in conditions of exposure to extreme temperature variations, it is the element that reinforces and offers durability to the whole thermal system.

In the case of interior plasters, the BICOmesh fiberglass mesh reinforces and offers flexibility to the support layer it is integrated into, preventing cracks.

DESCRIPTION

Fiberglass mesh (E-glass type), is a product characterized primarily by resistance to alkaline environment. It is coated with a layer of SBR (Styrene-Butadiene). Using a LENO-type fabric, the fiberglass mesh weighing 160 g/m2 confers resistance to the wall rendering and a lifetime equal to that of the plasters it reinforces.

DESTINATION AND FIELD OF USE

  • Fiberglass mesh with a weight of 160 g/m2 is used as a reinforcing element for external thermal insulation system (ETICS) based on mineral wool, expanded polystyrene or other types ofthermal insulation board;
  • Reinforcement of interior and exterior plasters, protecting them from cracking;
  • Manufacture of reinforcement layers for facade renovations.

CLASSIFICATION ACCORDING TO CHEMICAL STANDARDS. POSSIBLE RISKS, PREVENTION REQUIREMENTS

Fiberglass mesh does not require marking and is not a dangerous product. According to Regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council, fiberglass reinforcement does not require the safety data sheet.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS, STORAGE, TRANSPORTATION

  • Specific condition: it is recommended to be stored in clean, dry places, at temperatures between -5°C and 30°C, protected from the direct radiation of any heat source or from the direct action of the sun's rays;
  • Storage: to be stored in rolls positioned vertically, in covered and appropriate storages;
  • Transportation: the rolls of fiberglass mesh, positioned vertically on pallets, are being transported with adequate and covered transportation.

  • Fiberglass mesh with a weight of 90 g/m2 is used as a reinforcement element for interior plaster on vertical and horizontal surfaces;
  • Is used, in particular, when the finish is gypsum-based and in the case of interactions between materials with different coefficients of expansion, evenly distributing the stresses to which they are subjected.
